  1. After reading the last few chapters and finishing this book, I really liked it and thought it was a fun read. I liked all the specific details and how much the author elaborated on things because it really helped you paint a picture in your mind. The pictures added a lot of depth to the story, and helped you picture the characters and what the peculiarities look like. The only thing that I didn't like about the book, was that it was kind of predictable at some points and you could easily guess what was going to happen next. I predict that for the next book they are going to save Miss Peregrine and defeat the wights. The biggest question I have right now is why can Miss Peregrine not change back in to her human form? Is the bird even Miss Peregrine, or just a fake? "I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary" This quote really helps explain the book, because Jacob is not an ordinary child and he thought that he was. It wasn't until he realized he was peculiar that he didn't want to go back to his other life, and he realized that his only safe choice was to stay where he belongs.

  2. During the last few chapter that we have read this week, I really liked how the story has started revealing the secrets about the children's home. I predict that later in the book the wights will play a very important part in the climax. So far in the book the peculiars fear them and sound like a big danger to them. The quote I chose from the book, "When someone won't let you in, eventually you stop knocking", because it is very relatable to many times we experience throughout our lives. Jacob's dad experiences this with Grandpa Portman which greatly affects his life, even in his older years. Even though people don't worry about it, it does leave an impact on peoples life. This has happened after a while in my past experiences which has lead me to stop trying, ending a relationship. I am really enjoying this intriguing, suspenseful book.
